September 17 worship

Hello fellow worshippers!

Trying to get organized for future worship services, so I'm hoping to post Tuesday what we'll be going through on Thursdays at worship practice for Sunday services. Bear with me. Eventually I'll have links to hear certain pieces or music you can download, but it's a lofty goal at present. Service on the 17th (and the 10th) looks like this:

Opening: God of Wonders (Chris Tomlin, I think) leading into How Great Thou Art (traditional)
Jesus Be The Center
Communion: O The Wonderful Cross (with When I Survey the Wonderful Cross)
Offertory Music (worship team feature): All Creatures of our God and King (David Crowder Band style)
Closing: How Great Is Our God

I have new music for communion setting which we'lll use until Lent as well as the Alleluia after readings.

See you Thursday at 7!

Welcome!

Hello and thanks for stopping by Music at The Gathering UMC.

We're a new start church in the Dogtown/Maplewood area of St. Louis. We are committed to creating a Christian community compelling for new generations living in and around St. Louis. We believe there are too many people moving to our city who are struggling to find a community that offers meaningful relationships and compelling worship. Our community is committed to following Christ through the simple disciplines of worship, spiritual growth and community formation in small groups and service to our city. If you are new to the area and searching for a church, or have been looking for a long time, we hope that you will come and experience our community.

This blog is designed as a tool for those in worship at The Gathering, whether serving on the worship team or attending worship services.
